Slate Mounted Art - The Reserve - Scottish Landscape Collection (large)
From original artwork of Jennifer Wakeford the prints are made on a tile (15 x 15 cm) which is then mounted on a piece of Scottish slate (30 x 30 cm). The back of the slate has a bracket for hanging it on a wall.
This painting is called The Reserve and is from her Highland Landscape Collection.
ABSTRACT LANDSCAPE WALL ART
Ceramic tiles add a beautiful gloss to my artworks which makes vivid their rich shades and colours. The tile is then mounted onto handcrafted slate, treated to bring out it’s natural texture and depth. Just like a snowflake, no two slates are the same. So your artwork will always be totally unique. All slate mounted artworks are based on my original canvas pieces.
HANGING THE ART
The wall art comes ready to hang with a saw tooth hanger attached. We recommend you use a double pin picture hook and this can be put into drywall.
As much as we try to avoid the need for aftercare by thoroughly checking and washing each slate, fragments may still flake off the slate leaving an untreated patch. This is easily solved by rubbing a small amount of household oil with your finger onto the area which is now exposed. Over a period of days the oil will cure and blend into the rest of the slate.
This item is 30 x 30 cm and weighs 2.3 kg.
