Shaker style bowl

Originally filled with sawdust and used by Shakers a spittoons, this cherry bowl is much more suited for fruit these days!
Made from solid cherry veneer in the traditional Shaker way by soaking in hot water and bent round a former. The tacks used are made on the same machines in Michigan USA that the original Shaker tacks were.
It has a veneer covered plywood base and Scottish ash banding with solid brass escution pins for detail.
